Our Specific Services

Public Safety Systems:

GlobeConsult has considerable experience delivering Public Safety networks that provide communications to emergency services such as police, fire and ambulance. In particular, we provide professional services as it relates to the analysis of governance, implementation and delivery options for establishing a Public Safety Broadband Networks (PSBN). In this realm, we develop systems that are highly robust, and can address the specific communication needs of emergency services. This has fostered public safety standards – such as TETRA and P25 – that provide for a set of features that were not previously supported in commercial cellular systems. These standards have also been applied to commercial critical communications needs such as airport operations

Technical Writing:

GlobeConsult has more than 30 years providing techical and documentation writing skills for all types of technical and professional documents and reports using various desktop publishing methods. These include among other things; User Guides and manuals, RFIs, RFPs, needs assessments, technical reviews, interim and final reports, product definition and reviews, etc. We are currently providing technical writing and documentation control for Health Canada, SSC and PWGSC.

Significant background developing documentation for all types of technical and professional documents and reports, such as, planning and research documents, writing speeches, user guides, manuals, specifications and other non-journalistic articles, using various desktop publishing methods; possesses excellent writing skills and wordsmith capabilities. The documents include among others; RFPs, needs assessments, technical reviews, feasibility studies, business plans/cases, interim and final reports, product definition and reviews, etc.

Business Analysis and Business Transformation:

Over ten years experience as a business analyst. This includes business analyses, leveraging existing products and services and developing solution options for business transformation. In addition, projects have involved performing User Acceptance testing (UAT) on new systems prior to production; developing acceptance test and verification test procedures, producing Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Informationh (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), following Government of Canada PSEC processes.

In addition, several telecommunications projects have involved using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) processes in the design, planning and implementation of telecommunications systems with vast experience performing Business Plans and Feasibility Studies,following a unique and proven methodology and needs assessments including, due diligence evaluations, techology gap analyses and cost assessments. Currently providing business analyses and transformation services to SSC (PWGSC).

Network Planning and Design:

Network Planning and Design of all networks including; simple point-to-point and multi-point, 911 PSAPs and other N11 systems, VoIP, PBX, PSTN, WAN, MAN, LAN,VLPS and wireless in community and rural. Considerable expertise analysing analogue in-field emergency communications systems and subsequent upgrading to digital systems such as, LTE (Long Term Evolution), P25 (Project 25) and upgrading existing analogue system to Simulcast.

IP Telephony:

This includes convergence of legacy voice and data systems onto common facilities using VoIP incorporating wireless and fibre technologies.

Technical Sales Support:

This includes providing technical solutions to key telco customers in organisations such as Bell Nexxia, Telus, overseas PTTs, and other private and public telecom operators. This includes providing comprehensive business solutions to telecom marketing and sales groups

Network Architecture Development and Management:

including analysing database, dataflow, datafile and systems architectures and the implementation and management of relational and object-oriented databases.
